The Taliban have blocked Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in Afghanistan, from entering Kabul, claiming that he has presented "inaccurate" reports about the country.
Tarz Press reports, citing Agence France-Presse (AFP) and its sources, that the Taliban have denied Richard Bennett permission to enter Kabul. Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, confirmed this news in a statement to the media, explaining that the decision was made because of what they described as "inaccurate" reports provided by Bennett.
Richard Bennett, in his role as the UN Special Rapporteur, has consistently reported on human rights violations by the Taliban. Bennett has not yet commented on being barred from entering Kabul.
