Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Taliban's Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, has stated that only the Taliban can officially represent the Afghan people at global conferences.
Tarz Press: Kabir made these remarks today, Saturday, August 17th, during a meeting with Abdullah Aripov, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan. He emphasized that the international community should recognize the Taliban government as the legitimate government of Afghanistan. Additionally, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir stressed the importance of Afghanistan's full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), claiming that Afghanistan's inclusion would alleviate security concerns for member countries. During the meeting with the Uzbek Prime Minister, Kabir also asserted that Afghanistan poses no threat to any country.
Earlier today, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan arrived in Kabul, where he signed 35 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with various sectors in Afghanistan.
