Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Taliban's Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated in a meeting with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan that as diplomatic relations between Kabul and Tashkent strengthen, a new chapter of bilateral relations development will also begin.
Tarz Press: Amir Khan Muttaqi also mentioned that Kabul is increasing the facilitation of visa issuance for traders and that there are many opportunities in the areas of trade, energy, and transportation that should be utilized. Meanwhile, Zia Ahmad Takal, the Deputy Spokesperson of Afghanistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, posted on X today, Saturday, 27 Asad, stating that the two sides discussed economic cooperation, trade, and transit.
This comes as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce also announced today the signing of five agreements in the fields of mining, agriculture, and taxation between sectors of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. Abdullah Aripov, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, arrived in Kabul earlier today to participate in a bilateral trade cooperation meeting between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan and to inaugurate an exhibition of Uzbekistan's domestic products. He is also expected to meet with other Taliban government officials.
