Pakistani authorities have confirmed the arrest of Faiz Hameed, the former head of Pakistan's intelligence agency, on charges of land grabbing and the theft of valuable items.
Tarz Press – Geo News reported that the arrest took place today, Monday, August 12. The media outlet, which is affiliated with the Pakistani military, announced that investigative courts have been established by the government to examine the validity of the allegations against General Faiz Hameed in the "Top City" case. According to Geo News, the Pakistani government has also accused Faiz Hameed of violating military law after his retirement. Pakistani officials added that the investigation process into General Faiz Hameed's case has begun, and he has been transferred to a public detention facility.
The construction company Top City filed a complaint against Faiz Hameed in Pakistan's Supreme Court a year ago, accusing him of land grabbing and the theft of valuable goods.
