The Taliban's Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced that a Chinese investor plans to build a $40 million solar energy factory in Afghanistan.
According to the ministry's post on X (formerly Twitter), the Chinese investor, Shiye, met with Deputy Minister Ahmadullah Zahid and stated that the solar energy factory would create jobs for a thousand people. While detailed information is not provided, the Chinese investor has requested the Taliban's assistance in executing this project.
