Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in his speech to the United States Congress, stated that Israel is at the forefront of the conflict, and its war with Iran is solely to serve American interests.
According to American media, Netanyahu emphasized, "In the Middle East, Iran’s axis of terror confronts America, Israel, and our Arab friends." He further asserted that Israel's confrontation with Iran's proxy groups in the region also benefits American interests, repeatedly stressing that their conflict with Iran is for the sake of America.
Netanyahu elaborated, Iran understands that to truly challenge America, it must first conquer the Middle East, utilizing its proxies such as the Houthis, Hezbollah, and Hamas. Concurrently, hundreds of protesters surrounded the U.S. Congress during Netanyahu's speech, demanding an end to the war in Gaza. Referring to the anti-Israel protests outside Congress, Netanyahu called the demonstrators "useful idiots for Iran," alleging that Iran supports the anti-Israel protests occurring outside the Congress building and across various parts of the city.
