Beheading of a Young Man in Faryab by His Father-in-Law

Local sources in Faryab report that a young man was killed by his father-in-law.
According to findings by Tarz Press, the 20-year-old man named Mohammad was beheaded by his father-in-law while he was resting at his workplace. This incident occurred on Wednesday night in the village of Nisher, in the Belcheragh district of Faryab province. Mohammad Ismail Furqani, the head of the criminal investigation department of the Taliban provincial police headquarters in Faryab, confirmed the news, stating that the motive behind the incident is still unclear, but the father-in-law has been arrested by the police.
Relatives of the victim say that 19-year-old Mohammad had no enmity with anyone and was recently engaged to a girl for a dowry (mahr) of 800,000 Afghanis (approximately $10,000), of which he had already paid 400,000 Afghanis (approximately $5,000). He was working to pay the remaining amount to hold his wedding ceremony.
