In a press statement on Saturday, November 16, Zelensky mentioned that he had a phone conversation with Donald Trump following his election as the U.S. president. He described the call as constructive and useful.
Although Zelensky did not disclose specific details of the conversation, he explained that he and Trump were aligned on matters concerning war and peace in Ukraine. He added that Trump had not said anything that contradicted Ukraine’s position.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump, the newly elected President of the United States, recently stated that he prioritized achieving peace in Ukraine, even if restoring lost territories was not a key concern for him.
