Tarz Press: U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has stated that Israel should act with complete caution in its response to Iran’s missile attacks to avoid escalating tensions in the Middle East. In his recent remarks, Blinken expressed opposition to Israel’s potential reoccupation of Gaza and emphasized that now is the time to bring the war in Gaza to an end.
American media outlets, quoting Blinken on Wednesday, October 23, reported that Washington is currently exploring options and solutions for how to stop the war in Gaza and secure the release of hostages. Blinken stressed that the U.S. is firmly opposed to Israel reoccupying Gaza. He also mentioned that the U.S. has been working to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. Progress has been made in sending aid to Gaza, but it is not enough, Blinken said, calling for a clear plan to rebuild Gaza post-war.
Blinken further highlighted Israel’s imminent strikes against Tehran, emphasizing that such an attack must be carried out cautiously. He also acknowledged the role of Saudi Arabia in helping to deescalate tensions in the Middle East, noting that the kingdom can play a key role in reducing the risks of an all-out war in the region during this critical period.
