Tarz Press: Two Pakistani soldiers were killed and four others injured in an attack on a military base in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by armed assailants.

Local sources told Tarz Press on Thursday, October 10, that the incident took place in the Pattan Kot area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where attackers first detonated a bomb at the military base before engaging in a gunfight with security forces. Pakistani authorities have not yet commented on the incident, and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Previously, the Pakistani Taliban (TTP) had claimed responsibility for similar attacks on military bases. However, this time the TTP announced a ceasefire until October 12 out of respect for the Pashtun Grand Jirga.
